[Mindmaps] Thought Leadership Content Creation Is as Easy as 1-7-30-4-2-1

Posted on by Dana VanDen Heuvel

Russell Sparkman wrote the seminal post on putting together a content marketing publishing schedule when he put out the 1-7-30-4-2-1 content marketing mnemonic.  While the schedule requires discipline and significant human bandwidth to follow, it’s simplicity is extraordinary.

Before I ever encountered Russell’s formula, I put together the content, marketing and sales follow-up map that I use to this day.  Please feel free to steal this idea.

Whether you take Russell’s approach to content (adapted to Mindmap format below), or our approach to mind-mapping your process, now is a good time to think about your individual content marketing strategy.

Thanks Dana! Any chance of being able to download the mmap file rather than the PDF?

    Dana,
This is terrific. I am a mindmapping nut and use it for most everything. Your map addresses one of the the biggest content marketing issues–creating an editorial plan and sticking with it.
I should note that here in the States, we have bi-weekly rather than ‘fortnightly’ meetings. :-)
I’m definitely going to borrow this for my readers.

Very nice visual way to keep it all in perspective.

Fantastic mind maps! We would love to see them added to the mind map library at http://www.Biggerplate.com for our users to see!
