Beware the Marketing Insurgent!
2009 will bring out the savviest marketers aimed right at your customers!
It's been said that your best customers are your competitors best prospects. That's especially true if your competitors consider themselves insurgent marketers (not likely, so you still have some time to get ahead of them). Learning to Think, Plan and Act Like an Insurgent, Not an Incumbent. No matter your market position—leader or upstart—allows you to market more efficiently and effectively. Insurgents use mobility, aggressiveness and laser focus to disrupt the market and influence the dialogue, amassing share of voice, mind and market to . Learn to embrace change, not resist it. Create a culture of success—play to win every day, not ‘over time’. For more from the pioneers of insurgent strategy in business, I recommend reading The Underdog Advantage.

- Attracting new clients
- Positioning your firm
- Building your reputation as a firm that thinks
- Garnering media coverage for your ideas (share of voice)
- Spreading know-how
- Demonstrating your unique market perspective
- Adding unmatched value to proposals and presentations
- Underpinning your go-to-market strategy
- Leveraging your competence and differentiation
